Dong Van

Day 1: Ha Giang - Dong Van

08:30 – 09:00: Departure
• Bac Sum Pass – the first stunning winding pass with panoramic mountain views.
• Quan Ba Heaven Gate – breathtaking viewpoint over the entire Quan Ba valley.
10:00 – 10:30: Twin Fairy Mountains (Co Tien Mountains) – iconic limestone peaks of Quan Ba.
11:30 – 12:30: Lunch in Yen Minh town.
13:30 – 14:30: Visit Lung Cam Cultural Village & Pao’s House (famous filming location of the movie “Pao’s Story”).
Enjoy flower fields (buckwheat in season), terraced rice fields, and beautiful H’Mong villages.
14:30 – 15:30: H’Mong King’s Palace (Vuong Family Mansion) – unique stone architecture and historical site.
17:00: Arrive in Dong Van, check in homestay/hotel.
Evening: Stroll around Dong Van Old Quarter, have dinner and coffee.

Meo Vac

Day 2: Dong Van - Lung Cu Flag Tower - Meo Vac

08:00 – 09:30: Ride to Lung Cu Flag Tower – the northernmost point of Vietnam.
10:30 – 12:00: Return toward Dong Van → continue to Ma Pi Leng Pass.
12:00 – 13:00: Lunch at Ma Pi Leng Pass viewpoint (one of the most spectacular views in Vietnam).
13:30 – 16:00: Boat trip on Nho Que River through Tu San Canyon – the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.
(Option to walk down or take a motorbike taxi to the boat pier).
16:30: Arrive in Meo Vac town, check in accommodation.
Evening: Free time to explore and relax.

Ban Gioc

Day 3: Meo Vac - Ha Quang (Cao Bang)

11:30 – 12:30: Lunch in Bao Lac.
13:00 – 14:30: Drive through stunning mountain valleys and ethnic minority villages toward Ha Quang.
14:30 – 16:30: Visit Pac Bo Historical Relic Area

• Karl Marx Mountain
• Coc Bo Cave – where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in 1941
• Pac Bo museum and historical exhibits

Ban Gioc Waterfall

Day 4: Ha Quang - Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall

08:30 – 10:00: Visit Thang Hen Lake – a gorgeous emerald lake system on the mountain slopes.
10:15 – 11:30: Angel Eye Mountain (Mat Than Mountain) – giant natural “eye” hole through the mountain.
12:00 – 13:00: Lunch in Tra Linh or Trung Khanh.
14:00 – 15:30: Drive toward Cao Bang city.
15:30 – 17:00: Continue to Ban Gioc Waterfall – one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam and the 4th largest transnational waterfall in the world.
Catch the sunset if timing is perfect.
Evening: Overnight near Ban Gioc Waterfall or in Trung Khanh town.

Ba Be National Park

Day 5: Ban Gioc - Nguom Ngao Cave - Ba Be National Park

Ban Gioc → Cao Bang → Ba Be

Begin the day exploring Ban Gioc Waterfall—Vietnam’s most iconic cascade and the largest in Southeast Asia. Take in the powerful flow, tiered rock formations, and serene riverside paths.

In the late morning, start the journey back toward Cao Bang, then continue on to Ba Be National Park. Expect to arrive by late afternoon, just in time to settle in and enjoy the peaceful lakeside setting.

Ha Noi

Day 6: Ba Be - Boat tour - Ha Noi

Ba Be→ Boat tour → Ha Noi

After breakfast at 8:00 AM, head to Pac Ngoi boat station.
At 9:00 AM, begin a boat trip across Ba Be Lake, Vietnam’s largest natural freshwater lake
Visit An Ma Temple, Dau Dang Waterfall, and pass through local fishing villages.
At 12:30 PM, have lunch at a local riverside restaurant or homestay.
Around 1:30 PM, drive back to Ha Giang or transfer to the bus station for your return trip.
